This high-impact role is ideal for a technically savvy and commercially minded professional who thrives on building relationships, identifying emerging trends, and guiding innovative product development that aligns with global connectivity needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Cultivate strong, long-term partnerships with key players in the optical communications ecosystem�end users, system vendors, and transceiver manufacturers
Design and execute strategic business development plans for high-growth accounts
Identify and assess new product and application opportunities based on customer roadmaps and market shifts
Serve as a trusted advisor, aligning customer needs with US Conec�s technical capabilities
Deliver compelling technical presentations and proposals to customers and partners
Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to define and prioritize product development initiatives
Lead cross-functional programs focused on new applications and technologies
Represent US Conec at industry events, technical forums, and trade shows
Required Skills
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Engineering strongly preferred)
Successful track record in business development or technical sales, preferably in the fiber optics or optical communications space
Strong technical acumen and ability to articulate complex concepts clearly
Deep knowledge of data center, telecom, and enterprise network trends
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
Organized, self-driven, and able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
Willingness to travel 25%+
Willingness to spend time in Hickory, NC for onboarding, training, and meetings
