Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production & Operations Manager to oversee daily operations within our Fiber Optic Cable Assembly division in Dallas, TX. This role will lead production teams, ensure quality and efficiency standards are met, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong fiber optic assembly experience who can manage floor operations, develop team members, and support operational goals while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and customer delivery.
Key Responsibilities
� Floor Leadership: Lead, supervise, schedule, and develop a production team of assemblers, technicians, and team leads to hit daily production goals and customer commitments.
� Technical Oversight: Oversee the fabrication, termination, polishing, and testing (Insertion Loss/Return Loss, interferometry) of single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic assemblies.
� Standards & Quality Control: Maintain compliance with industry standards, specifically managing floor workflows to ensure TIA, RoHS, IPC-A-620, IEC 61300-3-35, Telcordia (GR-326) requirements are met.
� Continuous Improvement: Monitor floor metrics to improve First Pass Yield (FPY), eliminate workflow bottlenecks, and minimize material scrap.
� Supply Chain & Inventory Coordination: Work closely with procurement to ensure connector components, bulk fiber, and consumables match incoming production demands.
� Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Minimum 3-5 years of direct supervisory or management experience inside a Cable Assembly House (CAH), fiber optic manufacturing environment, or related telecommunications/electronics manufacturing industry.
Proven, hands-on background in fiber optic termination, polishing profiles, and testing procedures. Deep familiarity with single-mode, multi-mode, and multi-fiber (MPO/MTP) architectures.
Solid understanding of all required standards. Experience working within ISO 9001 or AS9100 certified quality management systems is highly preferred.
A visible, "on-the-floor" manager who leads by example, values clear communication, and knows how to motivate a production team.

Description of Benefits: Salary / Commissions / Bonuses / Other
$110,000-$160,000 per year
Target-driven performance bonuses: Up to a 10% to 20% annual bonus structured around transparent shop floor KPIs
